Welcome 2026!  The Club is active formulating ways to unite members with each other and the community.   We will joyously celebrate the new year with events to stimulate your mind and bolster your network.  In January, we return to Ann Arbor for an educational tour and lunch at a new hot spot.  In March, former Mayor Mike Duggan joins us to discuss "Revitalizing Detroit".  More details for these and other events will be distributed soon.  Stay warm in the winter splendor.
 

Club updates:  

The "Henry Ford Alumni Association Distinguished Career Award"  was given to our member Tor Shwayder, MD.  It is presented to physicians and scientists who have exhibited an outstanding commitment to patient care, leadership, education or scientific achievement and have had a minimum of 20 years of service.
 

Harvard Club of Detroit lost our esteemed member Bob Goodenow, a dear friend to many.  Bob graduated from Harvard University and was the Crimson Hockey Team Captain.  An Attorney, he is most notable for serving as the Executive Director of the NHL Players Association from 1992-2005.  As an entrepreneur and investor, he extended his pursuits into starting the Suburban Sports Group.  This consortium of ice rinks ensured countless youth could stay healthy and pursue their hockey and skating dreams.  We will honor his life by participating in the charity "Goals & Dreams" dedication this winter at the Detroit Clark Park Coalition in conjunction with the NHL-PA.

We serve our community!  Charities the club has supported recently:  Special Olympics of Michigan, Kids Kicking Cancer (MATIO); Junior Leadership Macomb; HFH Hermelin Brain Tumor Center, Life Directions, and a College Scholarship.
